The attributes of successful leaders can be identified and taught. The old saying, "leaders are born and not made", does not necessarily hold true. This course is designed to instruct students in the various methods and techniques for planning, implementing, and evaluating projects related to school activities. It will give students the opportunity to learn the ways in which they can become successful leaders in their school and community. Topics include parliamentary procedure, public speaking, group dynamics, and creative visuals. Students will have the opportunity to increase their understanding and/or effectiveness in Communication Skills, Group Processes, Managerial Skills, Self-Awareness, and Human Relation Skills.
